Interview with James Doyle, CEO of NEOTech’s Aerospace & Defense Division

NEOTech is well recognized as a premier EMS provider with in-depth experience manufacturing high-tech products and managing stringent US government requirements. The company recently brought a new CEO of the Aerospace & Defense Division on board. We spoke to Mr. James Doyle to learn more about his plans for strengthening this world-class and essential division.

Mr. Doyle, congratulations on your new position.

What motivated you to join NEOTech, especially in the capacity of leading the Aerospace & Defense division?

I am thrilled to have joined NEOTech, particularly in the role of leading the Aerospace & Defense business. What motivated me to take on this significant responsibility was the companys solidcommitment to innovation and excellence in the Aerospace & Defense sector. NEOTechs reputation for being a trusted partner in design, unsurpassed quality, manufacturability, and reliability aligns seamlessly with my passion for driving advancements in this critical domain.

As you know, the aerospace and defense industry can often play a crucial role in our national security and global stability. The CEO role for me was a chance to contribute to a business that has a significant impact on our world. I immediately felt a sense of purpose and responsibility to serve.

The Aerospace & Defense division is well known for delivering cutting-edge solutions to challenging manufacturing problems,and this presented an enticing opportunity that I couldn’t resist. NEOTech’s forward-thinking approach and dedication to quality assurance were also key factors in my decision to contribute my leadership skills to this dynamic team. The company’s focus on fostering a collaborative and diverse work environment resonated with my values, and I am eager to leverage my experience to achieve new milestones and make significant contributions to the growth of the company and the advancement of technology in these vital sectors.

How do you envision the future growth of NEOTech’s Aerospace & Defense division under your leadership?

As the new Aerospace & Defense CEO of NEOTech, I am excited to chart a course for the future growth of our business. A key factor to our vision is our commitment to expanding our U.S. manufacturing capabilities. We recognize the importance of bolstering domestic production to enhance national security and foster innovation for this generation and the next. Under my leadership, NEOTech will prioritize investments in advanced technologies, state-of-the art equipment, and uniquecapabilities, empowering our team to deliver unparalleled solutions to our clients in the Aerospace & Defense sectors. With your extensive experience in the electronics manufacturing industry, how do you plan to leverage your knowledge to navigate the challenges and opportunities specific to Aerospace & Defense OEMs?

As a seasoned executive, one thing I have learned is to listen to your customers and be prepared to solve their challenges. My approach to navigating these complexities is deeply rooted in those customer conversations and our company’s core values of dedication to quality and unparalleled customer service. Given your track record in managing process improvements and initiatives for manufacturing centers-of-excellence, what steps do you plan to take to ensure operational excellence within NEOTech’s Aerospace & Defense operations?

We are already working together as a team to make sure I’m brought up to speed on the NEOTech culture; I am so glad it aligns very well with my own values. Every company has its similarities and differences; however, I’m pleased to find that as I get to know everyone at NEOTech, they all have a strong dedication and commitment to continuous improvement and providing quality manufacturing for our customers. My primary role will be to bolster and support the culture that already exists throughout the company. My initial focus will be to empoweremployees at all levels. I believe that when individuals feel valued and empowered, they are more likely to contribute their best work, leading to enhanced operational efficiency. Secondly, I am dedicated to ensuring that we have the right people in the right positions. This involves comprehensive assessments of skills and competencies to optimize team performance.

Additionally, we are actively aligning and streamlining communication channels and promoting cross-functional understanding. This will enhance our ability to meet and exceed customer expectations. We will leverage individual site-specific best practices and standardize them across the organization to improve process and workflow. All of these initiatives and steps help to communicate to our entire team that what they do is important, and they are valued by the organization. By doing our jobs well, we all contribute to the strength and safety of our nation and support our warfighters and allies. It is that sole purpose that drives us each day to improve. It truly supports a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration; it’s ajourney towards operational excellence.

The Aerospace & Defense industries are always evolving. How does NEOTech plan to stay at the forefront of technological advancements, especially in meeting the demanding product requirements of OEMs?

I’m here to keep everyone at NEOTech moving in the same direction. We understand the ever-changing landscape of the Aerospace & Defense industries, and our commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements is unwavering. To ensure we meet the demanding product requirements of OEMs, we have embarked on a strategic path of continuous investment in the latest high-technology manufacturing equipment. Moreover, we assign teams and individuals to scout for emerging technologies and trends looking for advancements in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, materials science, and cybersecurity that may have applications and benefits to our customers. These investmentsenhance our production capabilities, and also enable us to deliver cutting-edge solutions that exceed industry standards. In addition to capital investments, we recognize the critical role of our production floor workers in driving innovation and quality. As part of our policy, we provide extensive training programs to enable our workforce with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their roles.

Building successful business relationships has been highlighted as one of your strengths. How do you plan to foster and expand key partnerships within the Aerospace & Defense sector?

Building successful business relationships within the Aerospace & Defense sector has always been a cornerstone of my career. Throughout my years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating closely with many people in our armed servicesand the OEMs that serve them. I will continue to invest my time in understanding their needs and the challenges they face so we can align our teams to support their mission objectives. I also plan to leverage my experience in Washington D.C. to advocate for policies and initiatives that support advanced Aerospace & Defense programs. For NEOTech to reach its goals, it’s critical that we continue to build trust in the marketplace, establish and nurture successful partnerships, and showcase our extensive capabilities to manufacture topquality,reliable products.  To do that we need to deliver on our commitments, be transparent in our communications, and work with integrity with the highest ethical standards. In the end, the best way to foster expansion is to focus on building long-term relationships, not short-term gains. A motto I have tried to live up to during my life, and something I am trying to instill in my two sons is “do what you say.” There is good reason to hold yourself accountable, and I believe people do business with people they know and trust.

What are your long-term goals and aspirations for NEOTech’s Aerospace & Defense division, and how do you plan to achieve them?

My long-term goals and aspirations are centered around building a culture that drives innovation, helps global stability, supports people’s dreams and career ambitions, and creates a better tomorrow through our efforts. I see NEOTech as a leader in the Aerospace & Defense manufacturing sector with diversification in areas where we can make positive contributions. To accomplish this audacious vision, we will continue to invest in R&D to stay at the forefront of technological advancements. We will work tirelessly to empower our people and attract and retain top talent with the goals of building an organization that’s collaborative within the industry. It’s crucial to me that every individual within NEOTech finds fulfillment in their work and takes pride in the exceptional products and services we deliver.
